Summary

Just Now is built to work without collecting personal data. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information to us or to anyone else. Your moments, notes, photos, places, and settings stay on your device, except for backups you make, which go where you choose.

Data the app stores

• Moments you log: a mood, and optionally a note, activities, people, and photos. All of it is entered by you.
• Location (optional). If you allow location access, the app takes a single location fix when you log a moment and stores it with that moment. The fix is used to suggest one of your saved Places and to place the moment on your map. If you decline, moments simply have no location.
• Weather (optional). When a moment has a location, the app asks Apple’s WeatherKit for the current conditions at that spot and stores the result with the moment. Apple receives the coordinate for that request under Apple’s privacy policy; nothing identifies you.
• Places, activities, people you create yourself, with a photo if you add one.
• Dictated notes (optional). If you dictate a note, your speech is turned into text on the device with Apple’s on-device speech recognition. The audio is not stored and not sent anywhere; only the resulting text is kept, as part of the note. The app asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission the first time you tap the microphone.

Analytics / tracking

• None.
• No third-party analytics SDKs.
• No advertising identifiers.

Data storage

All app data is stored locally on your device. The app does not sync it anywhere.

Backups

When you make a backup, Just Now writes one file with your data to the place you pick in Settings › Backups:

• iCloud Drive (the default): the file goes to iCloud Drive › Just Now in your own iCloud account. Apple stores it under Apple’s privacy policy. We cannot read it.
• A folder you choose: the file goes to that folder, for example on this device, in iCloud Drive, or with another storage provider you use. That provider’s own privacy terms apply.

A full backup contains your moments, notes, photos, places, reviews, and settings. A light backup contains the same data without photos. Nothing is sent to us.

iOS may include the app’s local data in your device backup. Backup behaviour is controlled by iOS, not by Just Now.

Notifications

Just Now schedules local notifications on your device to ask how you feel. No push server is involved; nothing is sent anywhere to deliver them.

Network

• The app does not send your moments, notes, photos, or any other personal data to any server of ours. We have none.
• The only network request is to Apple’s WeatherKit, as described above, and only when a moment has a location.

Support

If you contact support (for example via email), you will share whatever information you include in your message. This information is used only to respond to your request.
