Summary
Time-Lapse Photo is built to work without collecting personal data. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information.
Data the app collects
- None
Analytics / tracking
- None
- No third-party analytics SDKs
- No advertising identifiers
Data storage
All app data — your time-lapse projects, captured frames, in-app library, and settings — is stored locally on your device in the app’s sandbox.
When you choose to export a finished project, the resulting video and/or source frames are written to a destination you select (Photos library, Files app, or the system share sheet). What happens after that — including iCloud Photos sync, sharing to other apps, or device backup — is controlled by iOS and the destinations you pick, not by Time-Lapse Photo.
iOS may include this app’s local data in your device backup (iCloud or iTunes / Finder). Backup behaviour is controlled by iOS, not by Time-Lapse Photo.
Camera and Photos access
- Camera access is required to capture frames. The app uses the camera only while a capture screen is open in the foreground.
- Photos library access is requested only the first time you export a project to a Photos album. If you export only to Files or via the share sheet, this permission is never requested.
- Notifications are used only for in-app reminders you explicitly configure (target-time reminders for Manual projects, and “session paused” notifications when an Auto project loses foreground). Permission is requested only when you first enable one of these features.
Network
- The app does not send your frames, projects, or any data to any server.
- No background network features upload your data.
